Requesting Data From Microsoft Exchange Server popup message

We are running windows 2000 professional and outlook 2002 sp3. The
"Requesting Data From Microsoft Exchange Server" popup message appears
occasionally. It never appeared when we were using outlook 2000. What is
causing the message?

Thanks,

Well it didn't appear as Outlook 2000 didn't had the option to detect and
notify network slowdowns.

Slowdowns can be caused by lack of network or server resources. Think about
a requesting a large message, opening a large folder or the virus scanner on
the Exchange server scanning the whole datastore.
