Requesting A Virus Scan - Excel XP

How do I kill "requesting a virus scan" as I open any Excel XP file? I have
macro Security set to low and am using Norton Anti-Virus 2005 along with
three anti-spyware tools but Excel insists on "requesting a virus scan".
How to kill that request?
