Request for Enhancment: Screensaver

C

Charles Howse

Hello Group,
I like to see the current time for my screensaver, so I use the 3D Text
screensaver, with the 'time' option.
What that gives me is: '2:48:16 PM ' bobbing back and forth across the
center of my 17" monitor in characters about 1" tall. (Reminds me of
"Pong".)

I also have a Linux machine here at home, and with Gnome I get a *really*
nice AGP sereensaver that gives me a neon-like display like this:

Saturday
October 4, 2003
2:51:34 PM

as it floats all around the screen. It also changes colors. I can adjust
the font, font size, and all the other things that it displays.

So my RFE is: Can we please have a bundled screensaver in Windows similar
to the Linux screensaver I've described?

Can anyone point me to a Freeware screensaver like I've described?

TIA,
Charles

Just so you know, this is a public newsgroup providing peer-to-peer
support, not MS tech support. Some MS personnel do post here, but that
is out of the goodness of their hearts, not officially. So your feature
request should be directed elsewhere. Look around on the
www.microsoft.com site for a likely place. As for the second part of
your post, I'd Google for the screensaver, maybe using terms like "time
screensaver" or "clock screensaver". You could also look on Tucows.
