I have inserted an active-x component (Windows Media Player) into my
web page (FP 2003) and through properties have linked it to a short
WAV file. I have also uploaded the files to the server ( no FP
extensions), and while it plays fine off my computer, other computers
cannot access the sound. I even tried it on a server that supports FP
extensions - still no luck! Can anyone tell me why this might not be
working?

Youmay have uploaded the wav file, but your wmp component is
still looking at your local computer. Any time a
multi-media (sound, image) item is not working, a quick way
to check for the issue is to right click the item and choose
properties. I did this to your wmp component and the source
listed is
D:\FET5622IMM\sound\Iamokay.wav
