Convert your jpegs to bmp using ImageMagick, Irfanview, or your favorite
batch convertor, then convert to AVI with pjbmp2avi. You will need the
DivX or XviD codec of course.

while i'm trying to fully understand virtualdub and tmpgenc, i could get
something via pjbmp2avi to compress the avi's of my canon camera.
