REQ: Editing a .ra file (video)

Is there any freeware that I can use to edit a ".ra" file (realplayer).

I've tried TPMG but it didn't work (can't use .ra files). However, if I
suppose I could use it is there was a ".ra" to "mpeg" converter?

Thinking out loud at the moment, however, any help would be appreciated.

It should be possible to use TMPGenc in combination with Real Alternative
and Avisynth. I haven't tried it myself. Conversion guides can be found at
www.videohelp.com
