REQ Chess, Checkes & Go

I Know there is an alt.comp.freeware.games group, but my news provider does
not carry it for some ???? reason.

But I'm loooking for a couple of classic mind games:
Chess
Checkers
Go / Reversi / Otello

Would like it too if you could play over TCP/IP local network too.

I want them to be quite allround, making it interesting for all novice,
intermediate and advanced users. It will be installed on several small home
networks I'm doing Computer support for.

My rule is, as always I put 10% on the purchase of software so they would
realy appriciate it if the games are freeware ;-) - I don't mind, i live by
being paid for hours of service. The percentage on software and hardware is
often just barly enough to cover the handling & shipment cost.

Hmmm... 63 mb is a lot, and to be honest, I'm not conviced this will do for
the whole family. I'll try the lightversion

For chess, I like to use winboard available at this address:

http://www.tim-mann.org/xboard.html

You can change chess engines, size the playfield, read games in PGN
format and there lots of other great features. It's 32 bit, runs great
on XP, and plays online at Fics (Free Internet Chess Server)too! I hope
it's what you're looking for.

What's wrong with the link under the heading

Nothing. I guess I must have read the "XBoard runs on Unix systems"
part and thought what followed were Unix downloads.

Thanks for your help. :)

Regards, John.
