REQ application to play telephone tones

I run XP Pro.

I would like to cut and paste a phone number from a document into an
application which will then play the telephone tones for that number
through the PC's speakers.

Can I do this in native XP?

If not then is there a free application which will do this?
 
How would I use it?

I can hold the telephone handset up to the PC speaker and if the PC
plays the tones then the phone will "dial" them.
