Reposting: Activities tab unable to access p.folder custom form fields

Please tell me if I've gone crazy or not.

On old system, Outlook 2000/ES5.5: on a Public folder contact form
Activities tab, activities were set up to look at several sub-public
folders containing related projects, service tickets, etc. Each of
those sub folders were using custom outlook forms. I used to be able
to customize the Contacts Activities tab for each of those sub-folder
items and have access to the custom fields of those forms. That way
the Activities tab of the Contact would show more comprehensive info
about the linked related item.

Move to a new system, Outlook 2003/ES2003: Can't seem to access the
sub-folders custom form. It's just not in the dropdown list in the
Field Chooser anymore. Funny thing is, those custom forms are in the
Field Chooser if I want to customize the current view of the same
contact public folder, etc. But they disappear from the Field Chooser
if I open one of those contacts and go to the Activities tab. If it
helps, all the sub-folder custom fields are set up in the User Defined
Fields in Folder.

About a year ago (maybe more), I thought I had the same issue on the
old system, but as it turns out I just didn't think about it correctly
and was able to get to the sub-folder custom form from the Activities
tab Field Chooser. That's where I think I'm going batty, because what
if I'm having the same brain fart now and just can't seem to remember
how to do this? I feel like an idiot as I have been doing Outlook
customization for years now and for the life of me don't know why I'm
stumped on this.

Also, didn't I read at one time that one of the newer versions of
Outlook was going to have the ability to programmatically set up
Activities tab views?

Thanks!
Andrea

The Activities tab isn't programmable and never has been. Also, no matter
what version of Outlook or Exchange Activities views of Exchange public
folders can only display one folder and no subfolders in any one view.
That's a limitation of the Exchange public folders store design and has
always been there. It's similar to the limitation that you can't search more
than one folder in the public folders store in Advanced Find either.
