The settings in OE options > security is set to allow downloading of images
but with the check box blank. Images are still blocked - in place of an
image I get a little square with a red >X in it. downloaded a hotfix
(843018) which supposedly fixes that problem and it does - an extra item is
added to the security tab allowing to check or uncheck "Block images...". I
which i can click and the images will appear. However, once I leave OE and
return the fix is no longer there - >images are still blocked and that
extra item isn't there any more.
I have installed all the latest fixes for IE and OE. I was wondering if
reinstalling SP2 would help and looked into that. I have all the hotfixes
for SP2 and SP3 so simply reinstalling >SP2 isn't that easy.
have you gone into tools > options > advance and see if the option to
download and view images is selected? there are a bunch of other selections
there too that you may want to look into as well. also have you tried
downloading another browser like avant and see if you get the same problem...?
you didn't say what kind of pics are not being downloaded, but you might also
want to check the parental controls settings or other settings somewhere in
the options too....
