I'm trying to learn the ReportViewer using non-database data so I've
run through the simple demo showing how to use the reportviewer with
business objects:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms251692.aspx
It works fine but it's a bit too simple. I'm going to have
master/detail stuff and the only way I can think of to create the
relationship in the business object is to embed a collection of the
detail class in each master class. I could create a dataset at runtime
and create the tables and relationships but I need it at design time
in order to layout the report.
Even with just embedded BOs I have little idea how to go about
creating the report based on those classes. Any idea on where to look
for this type of example or an explanation of how to go about it would
be very welcome.
