ReportToPDF: pdf attachments?

Mr. Lebans, thanks so much for the ReportToPDF tool; it has saved hours
upon hours of tedious documenation generation in the last couple weeks!

I was hoping to get more information about creating attachments in the
output pdf file? A few programs that have been evaluated for doing so
don't like the pdf file, due to web optimization or the linearity used
to create it.

Is it possible to change the output settings to be a straight pdf file?
Or expose the attachment properties of the pdf? Your code has been so
successful that its use has generated a lot of 'next step' thinking for
simplifying our documentation needs.

Thanks again!

I have no idea what you mean by "creating attachments in the output pdf
file". Could you explain in more detail please.

From my reading, pdf files have attachments vs. embedded documents.
Some pdf sites seem to be pushing the attachments as a means of
skirting email filters that look for attachments with certain
extensions, though my purpose would be to provide additional
information in a seperate, yet related, document. There are tools
available for attaching documents to the pdf, but the several I
evaluated were unable to handle the pdf as currently generated. One of
them cited web optimization or the type of linearity that the document
is created.

Sorry, as I am totally unfamiliar with this issue I am not able to supply a
solution to you.

Thanks for your input; I'm not real familiar with it myself (which is
probably the communication break down). My experience with access or
code is to fill a need at work (I have 'learned' a new skill, though!).
I thought I was using terms that were common when speaking pdf, but
i've only been reading about them here in last couple weeks, well, past
'download adobe reader now' anyway.

If it matters, or maybe it isn't worth passing on...

I was able to accomplish the desired end result using a freeware tool
called pdf bundle. (Originally when trying to use it to attach or
embedd documents in a pdf, unc paths to the pdf file and the file to be
attached were being used and it produced errors. Have gotten so used
to unc paths that using a path mapped drive never occured to me, yet
that is what the tool was looking for.)
