Report Grouping Sort

I finally figured out how to get donors and donations to group and give me a
group total, but now I want to sort the report by that total. In other
words, I have donors grouped by their ID number with their donations, and
those donations are totalled in that group. I want to be able to have a
report that shows donors by the highest total donations to the lowest. I'm
still not sure exactly what I'm doing so simple step by step directions would
be appreciated (that is of course if such a thing can be done). Thanks for
any help you may have.

Well you figured out how to group and get a group total. When creating a
group you can also set a sort order in that dialog. My guess would be that
that would be the place to take another look.

If you have your report already hoover the mouse over the menubar when in
designview and look for the button that says grouping and sorting. Click on
it an in the dialog that opens you should see your grouping options you've
created. Take a close look and look for the sorting option (it's after the
groupname)

I messed around with all the Group and Sort options, but because the group
donations total is a grouping it doesn't show up in the choices for sorting.
I know it can be done because I've seen reports done with this result. I'm
still working on it but if you have any firther ideas please let me know.
