Hi.
im trying to display a database of swimmers into heats and lanes but have no
idea how to do this. i have put the competitors into their agegroup.

Unless we have some details of the information you have, how you plan to
store it (unless you are asking that question, too), and what you mean by
"display... into heats and lanes", and how you want that displayed, we
really aren't in much of a position to assist you. Please clarify.

I'd assume that there is more information about competitive swimmers than
just their age group. Are you going to manually determine which swimmers are
in which heat, or do you expect the database application to group them by
some attribute, and, if so, what?

i have a database of 500 swimmers and querys that separate them by age group,
sex and event(freestyle etc.). im trying to find a way to separate say 32
swimmers into 4 heats and place them in 8 lanes when i print a report for an
agegroup. im sorry if im not explaining this very well but im very new to
this.
