Report fields cut off on HP 4050N; OK on HP LJ III

Hello --

A user tells me that a report prints OK on a HP LJ III, but not on a HP
4050N, the network printer. The location of the printer is at some distance
from me, so I would prefer to research the problem before travelling there
to test a solution.

Report fields are set to Line Printer 9 in design view.

Printed on the 4050N:
- the right-most characters in fields are chopped off, or not shown, as if
the 4050 thinks the field should extend further to the right
- the font has serifs, something like Courier

Can anyone give me an idea of what to look for to solve this problem?

Is there a sans-serif font (Univers?) that would behave on both printers?

Thanks for any help.

Might the two printers have a difference in terms of how wide the print area
is?

Doug --

I should have noted that there are borders around the fields.

All 4 sides of the borders print, so I can see that the network printer
simply can't format the number inside the field.

I saw a suggestion that the Line Printer font might not be installed on the
network printer (I thought it was a default font). We will check that.
