Hi,

I'm new at access and creating databases. I finished creating a report using
a table that contains 356 records when I was complete I took a look at the
preview and the pages were skipping doubling the records to 712 records. I
finally realized I had to change the width to the columns it worked. Now what
I'm trying to accomplish is creating a letter and my boss came back with
revisions to the letter. Ok, shouldn't be a problem but while making the
revisions the 1st paragraph third line cut off mid way and the last word is
located on the 4th line???? And everytime I try to bring it up to the third
line it deletes it. It's just not working...WHAT CAN I DO????? Please help. I
tried whatever I could think of.

There are several possible issues. One favorite is that small part of a
line that is wider than the printable area. You need to hunt those down.

However I believe you need to look into the can shrink and grow
property of your control (text box).

It appears you want a very nice looking report, so you may also want to
look into using Access to "feed" a Word document. That gives you more
control and features to produce some better looking results.

We receive a database of 15,000 or more names, addresses, etc and in order
for me to mail to certain parts of the country or mail for specific people I
need Access to that for me. My boss previously used ACT but it would take him
days now using Access it takes a couple of hours or less. I ended up merging
to word and fixing the problem there and then copy paste back to Access. I
can't believe something so simple and it took me hours to figure out. I did
try grow and shrink but since I'm still new to this I didn't want to play
around with it. It's all trial and error. I do appreciate the help though.

Hi and thanks! I wish it was that easy but I have over 15,000 addresses I
receive through a database and have to mail to certain areas and with Access
I can create tables for each region, etc. What I ended up doing is merging to
word fixing it there then copy and paste, I couldn't believe it was that
easy. Now I have a new a problem I can't make a website address blue? When I
do try it changes back to black? Any suggestions?

address i have on the body of the text will not allow me to change it to
blue? I don't understand why? Do u have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I am going to take a wild guess that is because it sees it as a link.
You might try putting a character before and after it like an underscore and
see what happens. There may be a way of turning that off as well, but since
I have never run into it I don't know. I also seem to remember something
like that to do with only certain versions and or update levels. You might
want to post a new request for that one.

Stick with it. It takes a while to get the hang of it. :-)

I'll give that a try and If it still doesn't work I will post a new message.

Thanks for your help.
