Report based on "Filter by form" selection

I am searching for quite a while for a possibility to do this (which I used
to do in FileMaker all the time...):

I do have a contact form and reports like "address label" etc.
I would like to let our users to select a group of people (by using "Filter
by Form" or "Filter by Selection" on the contact form). Based on this result,
I would like to run the report, where only this group of people will be
listed.

I tried to add "me.filter" to the open report cmd, but it does not work.

Please, please help. I have some time pressure with this.

Thanks, Tom. I could use some ideas from the examples you listed. And I got
my "me.filter" running, when I open the report. Now it is just a lot of work
to set up all the reports.

Yes, I am from Germany, living in the States since 8 years. How did you
figure that out? My name or the way I am writing in English?
