Report based on crosstab query problem

I would first like to say that this is my first post to this invaluable
group. Kudos to all who are involved here.

I am using Access 2002 and am having trouble with a report which is
based on a crosstab query which is based on an aggregate query. This
all works fine until I try to apply a date range from two fields on a
separate form. If I put the following as criteria in the aggregate
query "Between [Forms]![frmRange]![cboDate1] and
[Forms]![frmRange]![cboDate2]", the aggregate query works fine. As soon
as I try to create the crosstab query based on the aggregate query, the
microsoft jet engine base does not recognize
[Forms]![frmRange]![cboDate1] as a valid field name or expression. Is
there a way to make this work?
