Reply with selected text only

When I reply to a message, I don't want to include the entire original
message. It's a hassle to reply and THEN delete everything but the few words
I want to keep. Is there a way to select text & then hit reply, and only the
selected text appears in the new E-mail?

I'm using Outlook 2007.
Thanks!

No, but as long as you are selecting the text anyway, you can copy it as
well with CTRL+C. Then when you press reply, put your cursor in the body,
press CTRL+A and then CTRL+V.

Thanks, Roady. I wish Outlook didn't require so many workarounds. The
copy/paste route works, but has some drawbacks and inefficiencies. It
required me to change the default to "off" for the automatic "include
original text w/reply." Not a big deal, but a drawback. I'm not sure why you
suggested that I press CTRL+A. At any rate, the pasted reply is formated
identically to the rest of the body, which can be confusing for the
recipient. I created a style called "reply" which is indented, uses a smaller
font and is italicized. But to make this work, I have to add a couple of
additional steps. After pasting the original text, I have to click on the
"Format Text" tab > Quick Styles and then select the new "Reply" style.

Maybe there's an easier way that I'm missing, but this is a pretty long
workaround for something that IMHO should be very simple.

Eudora 6.2

Also Pegasus. It's a VERY useful feature, and one of the only things I really miss about Pegasus. Hopefully some Eudora or Pegasus convert will write an add-on for Outlook to give it this, imo, necessary functionality.
