When I click on 'reply' to an e-mail it takes between 10 to 60 seceonds until
the acutal 'reply' window opens.
Note that the e-mails have already been downloaded to my pc at this time.
I have already deactivated my anti virus software, does not help.
Any ideas?

What version of Outlook? Do you have Instant Messenger integration turned
on? Are you using Word as the editor?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

It is Outlook 2003. I am using Word as´the editor. And the Instant Messenger
is enabled if that is what you mean by 'integration'.
Any other ideas?

Thanks for you help

Turn off Word and see if that makes a difference.

Yes,

I turned off 'Word as the editor' and now it is very quick.
But what disadvantages will that have for me besides this big speed advantage?

IM Integration is controlled at the bottom of Tools>Options>Other in
Outlook.
