Reply or forward messages

When I reply or forward from a message in the inbox it
will move the orginal message to the sent items. I like
for my orginal message to stay in the inbox until I am
ready to move or delete it.

Can anyone tell me why this happens. I thought maybe some
setting is doing this.

I also check with another co-worker and when they reply or
forward it stays in the inbox.

Help please

is the message actually getting moved or do you have it set to hide read
messages and the original is hidden?
