replication error

Hello all
I have an active directory domain running with 2 2003 DC's the FSMO
roles are divided as suggested
DC1 PDC, Infrastructure nand RID masters DC2 Schema, GC and Domain
Naming Master i keep getting a replication error 13508 i can ping each DC
from the other and i can use the DNS name as well REPLMON indicates no error
in topology If i force replication it returns no errors. Any suggestions as
to why i am getting this error?
