replacing tainted explorer.exe

Hi,
My machine has a virus infected explorer.exe. I have a clean copy
of explorer.exe off the distribution cd. How do I go about removing the
infected copy and pelacing it with the clean copy? Thank you.

What is the name of the virus? Properly removing it should help your
problem.
