Replacing Outlook 2003 with Outlook 2007

I want to purchase Office Standard 2007 which includes Outlook. Before I do,
I want to be sure the 2007 version will NOT wipe out my existing emails and
address book from Outlook 2003. I'm running XP. Can I install the full
version of Outlook 2007 over Outlook 2003 without losing my existing data?
Microsoft won't answer my question. Thanks
 
Your data is stored in the pst file(s), if anything befalls it you can
recover from your backup.
But then of course you dont have a backup.
