I am trying to replace the 40GB disk in my daughter's PC (which runs
WinXP Pro SP2) with a 120GB one that I have spare. The plan was to copy
the image across using a program I have called Powerquest Drive Image
Pro 4.0. The problem is that Drive Image Pro tells me that it can't
handle NTFS5 partitions. This has confused me, because I've previously
used the same program to do a similar thing on my own Win2000 Pro SP4
machine, and I thought Win2000 also used NTFS5.
Anyhow, I have two questions:
1. Is there a difference in the NTFS file systems used by WinXP SP2 and
Win2000 SP4? Anywhere I can read up about this?
2. Does anyone know of a simple program that will do disk-to-disk
copying that works with XP SP2?
Thanks.
