Replacing an installation disk for XP Pro

I recently lost all the files on my hard drive, and had to reformat. When
I went looking for my XP Pro install disk, I couldn't find it. I barrowed
an OEM version of '98 and installed it, but now I want XP back (preferably
something I can download now). I have the PID, and I DON'T want to have to
buy it again. Is there any way to go about this, or am I out another couple
hundred dollars?

Greetings --

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

If it was an OEM license, you'll need to contact whomever sold you
the OS; Microsoft does not support OEM installations.

Ring Microsoft Sales, tell them what has happened and quote the PID. As long
as that can be verified, they will supply new media at a small cost.

Hope this helps.
