Replacement Hard Drive

Hello,

I am replacing a faulty HD and I was thinking of doing it myself. What
I heard is that the Windows XP installation bootable CD will detect an
unpartitioned, unformatted HD and take care of things automatically. I don't
need special software. Is that correct?

It won't do it automatically - you'll have to tell it what to do after you
boot from the XP CD. No other software is required.

Hi Chris , Like Jerry said it wouldn't do it auto but not to worry it isn't
