Replace Internal Hard Disk

I want to change the internal hard disk of my computer,
which takes a laptop hard disk, for a larger one. I have
an external USB case in which I can put the new disk and
was wondering if there is a way that I can transfer
everything from the old to the new and then just replace
the internal disk.

Actually, if you buy the new hard drive retail, it will come with setup
software that will do exactly what you want. If you buy white box, you
can download the utility from the drive mftr. You will attach the new
hard drive as slave and old drive as master. Boot with the utility and
it will copy the old drive to the new one. Then shut down and put the
new drive in place as master.

google for xxcopy. Even if you don't use his software the
author of that seems to have a lot of experience you can
benefit from.
