Replace existing tables with links to ODBC sources

I am pretty certain that I had this working a couple of weeks ago before I
went on vacation, but I can't repeat my results and I'm starting to doubt
whether this is possible.

I have an existing database with regular Access JET tables. I have
previously migrated these tables to SQL Server express. I opened the database
and appended a prefix to the names of my original tables, then linked to
tables on SQL Server, and renamed them so that the linked table names were
identical to the original table names. None of my queries work anymore.

Like I said earlier, I am fairly certain that I was doing something
correctly two weeks ago, but I don't know what it was, because I remember
everything working fine. I guess I'm mistaken; either that I ever had it
working the way I wanted to in the first place, or I'm doing something wrong
this time around.

Thanks for your help.

Have you converted your queries to SQL Server stored procedures or views?

I have not. I can try this.

The main issue is that there are lots of scattered users that have built up
their own queries. I'd rather not have to go through each of those database
files and add stored procedures or views.

Don't ask me why it was allowed to turn into this mess...I walked into it.
Thanks for the suggestion and I'll try to see if I can make it work some how.

Hopefully you had Auto-corrupt --- whoops that should be Auto-correct ---
turned off before you did all this. If not, go back to your backup copy and
start over after you turn off auto-correct and after you compact.
