Repeating column layout is wrong (and PDF worse)

I have a ws that is about 25 columns wide and I want to use column C a
the headinsg as it wraps onto multiple pages.

This kind of works but the layout doesn't seem to match between th
print preview and the onscreen page view. In particular the width o
the wide colmn C is being truncated to a narrower colmn on pages 2 an
3 , but it is OK on page 1.

If I send it to PDF it gets worse by causing vertical black lines wher
the logical column width should be.

Columns A and B are blank.

I am using Excel 2002.

I've often thought that print|preview is a rough guess only. The real test is
in the printing.

My suggestions are to make the column wider or make the font smaller. Then test
it by printing/or making a .pdf file.
