repeating a header on selected pages

I am writing a paper with a large table that spans several pages. i figured out how to make the table header show at the top of each page, but now I need to put "Table XYX (continued)" at the top of subsequent pages, but not all pages in the paper. Any ideas?

The best suggestion I've seen in this regard is to put "(continued)" in the
repeating header row (it will appear on *all*) pages and then use an empty
text box or AutoShape anchored *outside* the table to cover it up on the
first page.
