Repeated reminders sent to another user until a task is complete

Hi,
I need to keep reminders going to several staffers until they complete their
assigned tasks. We set up a macro to create the tasks and assign them, but
when tasks are sent to the assignees, reminders are discarded by Outlook, and
I can't count on them to set their own, since the whole reason for this
project is that the users in question are not following up on their
assignments. I would use tasks, e-mail messages, whatever to do this. We're
trying to avoid using appointments or meeting requests if possible in order
not to clutter up the users' calendars.

Thanks for any help you can suggest!
Regards,

Once the Due Date for the TaskItem passes, you (as in everyone) should
continue to get Reminder Alerts that the task is past due. Unless of
course they're hitting the button to dismiss it.

Thanks David, I'm counting on that, but ideally I would like to get some
reminders on their way before the due date, to encourage progress before
anything is actually late. I could set up another matching series of tasks
with earlier due dates, but I want to be cautious about creating either
confusion about what "due" means or "task fatigue" in the users!

Any ideas about reminders prior to Due Dates?

Thanks to all,

Othello
