Repairing XP

Windows XP is not booting up. I want to do a XP repair
but do not know the password. Is there any way to find
this out?

You don't need the password for the Repair Install.

I'm not sure I understand. I boot from the CD and I get
to a place where it asks me which Windows I want to log on
to. I press number 1 (Which is the only one), and it asks
me for a password. If I'm doing this wrong, what is the
procedure? If I don't choose Repair, it tells me I'll
lose everything on the partition.

At the point where the Recovery Console comes up, do NOT press R
Choose the other option.
Then press F8 to accept the license agreement.
Then you select R.

The default password is blank. Try this. If you set and forgot an
Administrator Password, please re-post for further help.
