i really need some expert help here....

so there i was, moving my 200gb Hdrive with WXP installed to a new case
and motherboard when it stops working, detected but not starting
up....black screen - flashing cursor - so i install a new WXP onto a
clean drive and get that working on the computer....now i can see that
my old drive is there - all the files intact - just that the startup of
windows is corrupt on it...

my question is, how do I..

A: transfer all my setting from the old corrupt windows install to my
new WXP.....OR
B: repair the old WXP to work again

thanks in advance for your help

Hello There, Go to start, click accesories, click sytem toole, click backup
and follow the directions hon. Good luck ethel

Remove your 200Gb HD with the old O/S and change the jumpers to master.
Format and change the jumpers on the newer HD so that it becomes the
slave.
Place both drives back in the case.
Perform a recovery install of XP to your old 200Gb HD.

Once your old XP has been repaired you can utilize the backup utility
Ethel039 is talking about.
