This may be a *dumb* question, but will running the repair function on
Outlook 03 erase mail and/or contacts? If so had do I save them, the
Import/export command is missing from the drop down list under file

Repair or reinstall of Office/Outlook will *not* erase any of your
Office data.

To make a backup (recommended) before repairing/reinstalling Office,
don't use Export/Import, but simply make a copy of your PST file(s).
N.B. copy the PST file(s) while Outlook is closed.
