Repair Job not possible

There are no files under the + sign against CD-RW Drive (E:) in Windows
Explorer and contents of my CDs are not displayed, nor does the Installation
Wizard appear on insertion of Installation CD. I tried to carry out a repair
job with the installation CD for Win. XPPro, but it will not show on the
monitor, so I cannot start.

Systems Restore did not correct this fault.

I would be very grateful for any ideas you may have on resolving this
problem.

It's pretty unclear to me exactly what you are doing except that I think
you're trying to do a Repair Install from within Windows which is wrong.
