Repair an access97 mdb with JetComp

Hi,

I try to repair an access97 mdb with JetComp on windows 98. This mdb use
special system database (mdw). When I click "Compact" button it says me
"Error Compacting database".

What can i do?

Make a copy of the database first....
I would try to make a new database & import all the objects into that
(you will probably "loose" a form - which is the corrupted object)
If you still can open the "bad" db you can then get all permissions from
that using code
You can also try to open it using the (undocumented & unsupported - hence
the copy ) /DECOMPILE Switch ( requires Shift Key to bypass startup code) -
that sometimes help
otherwise several companies offer help on fixing corrupt Db's (at a cost!)

Thanks for you solution.

But I want to know why it does not in windows 98. The same program with the
same database works fine in W2K.

Any idea?¿?
