Repair Administrator Account

My Computer Administrator Account (Xp pro SP2) has become hopelessly
corrupted. Had thought to delete it and create a new one but Xp won't allow
deletion of built-in accounts. Any ideas what to do to restore the account to
its former glory? Thanks.
 
Now you know why everyone is saying do not use the build in Admin account for
everyday use...........start a new acct and make it an admin.

Thanks Peter, I had in fact already created a new "Admin" account but it
doesn't have all the access that the original built-in account had which is
why I want to delete the original and recreate it. Any further ideas?
