Renaming the administrator account in XP

I'm trying to rename the Administrator account to
something else, it seems to work OK until you do a restart
and then it reverts back to Administrator. Been on the web
and MS site but still no luck. I've used the MMC > Group
Policy > Local Sequirity Policy > Security....any
suggestions are greatly appreciated.
 
Are the computers part of a domain ? If yes, check the default domain
policy. that apllies first of any other policy that's being implemented on
this computer. the local policy is implemented last so anything you define
are being overridden.
