Renaming "My Documents" folder

My OS is XP Professional with 3 user accounts. Some time back, I renamed the
“My Documents†folder for one of the users to “<user name> Documentsâ€. I
would now like to change that folder name back to “My Documentsâ€, but it will
not change. I right click the folder, click “Renameâ€, type in “My
Documentsâ€, and hit “Enterâ€. The name immediately returns to “<user name>
Documents. If I try to change it in the folder properties, it states that
the destination is the same name as the source. Does anyone have a solution,
short of reinstalling Windows? Thanks!

Create a new user account move the information from one account to the other
setup the way you want it from a third account, and delete the old account
when everything has been checked and you like the new account.

Can you explain to me why Windows allows renaming the "My Documents" folder
and then prevents the renaming of it back to "My Documents"? The user name I
don't won't to change. I'm assuming I won't be allowed duplicate user names
to create this new user account you're suggesting. Obviously to Windows the
folder is still named "My Documents", but displays the name I changed it to
earlier. Is there not an alternative solution? Thanks!
