Renaming multiple (data recovered) .doc's with original title

So, I had to take in a hard drive to recover data from it, and the computer
company ended up having to long scan the drive to recover the data. All 1000
word documents (and every other file) was renamed with a 6-digit number
instead of the original file name. I also lost the pathways too. But when I
place the mouse over one of the .doc's in Windows Explorer, it still has the
Original Title, Author, etc... embedded into it. I want to rename all the
..doc's with the Original Title, but I have no idea how to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, dan in Windows 2000NT

I'm not aware of anything that can do that other than a rather complex
script, OR going back to the folks that did the recovery and see what thye
might be able to suggest. Expect to pay for it.
