hi,
using net use I map to a drive on computer B for accessing from computer A.
What I want to do is to be able to rename/edit files without accessing the
computer locally. Well I manage to map the drive but I can't rename or edit.
I can though if I access it locally. I've set all permissions on that folder
so that that particular user has full control.

Anyone??

Could be that share permissions are preventing this. Or it could be
that although you have set folder permissions to full control for that
user, those have not been inherited by the files in the folder. Check
permissions on the share and the files and see if there are any problems.

nope I've checked share permissions

check out a new thread above, I've changed the configuration a little but
still the same problem...
