Renaming documents and setting folder

[Nik]

I have recently created a new profile called Nik NEW and deleted my old
profile, which was called Nik, after transferring all documents/setting
across.
I then renamed Nik NEW to Nik. My documents folder is now called Nik's
Documents, but in the documents and folders Folder, it remains as Nik NEW.
XP says it's a system file and can't be renamed, but it really bugs me!
Also, on System info it shows user name as "COMPUTER NAME/Nik NEW".
A minor niggle, I know, but you know how it is.... :0)

Any ideas?

The only way is to create a new user with the exact name you want(not a
temporary name), transfer your stuff, then delete the old user. As you found
out renaming your user does not change the folder name.

With all the Tweaks and stuff around I had hoped something as simple as that
was possible.

I can't be bothered to go through all that transferring nonsense again! I
think I'll live with it!
