Renaming calculated fields

Hello,

I have a query field which was created using another query field. The text
box of this field when placed on a report does carries its assigned name but
that of the default which is text 27 and cannot be renamed. What is more
disturbing is that if I output the report to a Ms. Excel or Word, the name of
the field comes as text 27 and not that of it assigned name of "Report".

Grateful for urgent assistance on this.

Maybe I think as earlier indicated that it is because it linked to a created
query field that was created using another query created field. It might
interest you to know that the text box of the other query created field is
named after the created field. As to exactly why I cannot renamed the text
box I have no idea whatsoever.
 
A query doesn't have text boxes. Text boxes are controls on forms or
reports. If you can open a form or report in design view, you should be able
to change the name of a control.
 
It seems as if you are yet to understand what exactly is my problem, because
what you have suggested in your last sentence is exactly what I have not been
able to do with the text box on the report that is linked to the calculated
field on the query.
