Remving Windows Messenger

Using XP Home, IE6 & OE6. How can I permanently remove Windows Messenger
from my Taskbar?

Thanks, but this fix seems to apply to SP1. I have installed SP2. Any
updated info for this?

I successfully used that fix after installing SP2, and recommended it to
another newgroup poster who was successful in applying it after upgrading to
SP2. Give it a try.......hope that it's successful for you, too
