Removing SP2

I have a new computer that has Sp2 already installed. It doesn't show up on
my add/remove list nor is there an uninstall file anywhere in my files. Is
there another way to remove it.

It is likely that the version of Windows XP had SP2 integrated and therefore
wasn't installed separately thus there is no uninstall path for it . However
if you really want to get rid of SP2 you can do so by running a Repair
Install overtop of your current setup using the same version of XP, Home or
Pro providing of course that version doesn't have SP2 integrated.

Why would you want to remove SP2?

Just curious.

Conflicts with some programs they are not properly updated. SP2 changes
numerous system files and locks down a lot of the system. If the software
has a dependency that was changed in SP2, it may not function correctly.
Basically, some vendors need to update their software.
