Removing shared borders

Whenever I open a page and tell shared borders to remove the right border; I
get internal server error 500.

Then when I close the error box; the page is now modified without the right
border. And I can then save it.

Why is this? Is this normal?

No it is not normal
A internal server error 500 is usually permissions related
- contact your host to check permissions
