Hi Folks,
Is there a way to remove a service completely? I uninstalled NAI
VirusScan a while back, and switched to NAV, and I just noticed today
that every time the machine boots up, four entries get shovelled into
the Event Log:

The Network Associates McShield service failed to start due
to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified.

The Network Associates Task Manager service failed to start due
to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified.

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
NaiFsRec

The Network Associates Alert Manager service failed to start due
to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified.

I'd like to remove whatever entries are necessary to stop the OS from
trying to load these deleted services, but I couldn't find a how-to.

Any help appreciated.

TIA,
-Jeremy

PS. I also get this error msg in the Event Log at startup:

The value named IRPStackSize in the server's Registry key
LanmanServer\Parameters was invalid. The value was ignored,
and processing continued.

What constitutes a valid value?
