Removing Programs from a menu

I'm not sure how to explain this but I can try. When you right click in a
empty space in a folder it comes up with several options. Well when I go to
the new option there are several programs that I no longer have installed. Is
there anyway to remove those from the list?

You explained it just fine. That is the right-click context menu. The
easiest way to remove the entries is with the free ShellExView program.

That didn't help I don't see any of the programs listed.
