Removing password protect workbook option

Guest

I password protected a large, multi-tab workbook so that shared users would not alter the structure. Even though I have a long history of well-documented passwords, I can't remove pw protection from this workbook. I've tried every combo of upper- and lower-case letters. I even tried miss-spelling the pw, which sometimes occurs.

Anyways, I could use help in figuring out how to re-build this workbook. Excel 2000 will not let me make copies of the individual worksheets to a new workbook.

Advice is very much appreciated.
